Which Waste Option Do I Need?
- CTW01 Gravity Shower Trap (08CTW01) — AKW's standard ShowerDec pairing for vinyl safety flooring with gravity drainage; an economical trapped waste.
- McAlpine TSG52 50mm Gully (08GT52NSC) — a premium two-piece 50mm water-seal gully for vinyl installs.
- CUW01 Pumped Waste Trap (08CUW01) — AKW's pumped trap for ShowerDec, for installs where gravity drainage can't run (flats, concrete floors, long pipe runs). Please note: this is the trap only — a compatible shower waste pump is required and sold separately. Contact us and we'll spec the right pump for your installation.
- No Waste — already have a compatible waste, or your installer is specifying separately? Order the former alone.

Key Features:
- Class-leading strength: 24mm thick compressed SMC-GRP supports up to 100 stone (635kg) — the highest capacity in the AKW former range — with no additional support needed around the waste.
- Excellent drainage: four gradient planes with an approx. 2–2.5° fall to the waste, so water never pools in the showering area.
- Offset waste position: helps avoid joists and pipework; the former is non-handed and can be rotated to suit your room.
- 40mm flat perimeter: a level border around the former for shower screen placement and water retention.
- Vinyl or tiled finishes: textured top surface gives excellent vinyl adhesion; can also be tiled when used with a tanking kit.
- Timber and screeded floors: 24mm thickness installs flush with standard floorboards; circular ribbed underside keys into concrete or screed and eliminates slippage; no raised collar under the waste for easy timber installs.
- Easy installation: pre-formed semi-drilled fixing points, no noggins needed thanks to extra reinforcement around the waste hole, and cut-to-size with a circular saw or jigsaw.
